8/24/26 - The 2026 college season kicks off this week from Thursday through Sunday with 167 games on tap throughout the weekend. TCU will take on North Carolina Aug. 29th from Dublin, Ireland in a highly anticipated matchup. The weekend culminates on Sunday with West Alabama taking on Tuskegee in the sixth annual D2 Red Tails Classic, honoring the heroic Tuskegee Airmen of WWII. 8/3/26 - When it comes to ranking football teams, the Lazindex has proved to be a time-tested model of consistency. Each year, the Index is one of dozens upon dozens of ranking systems to appear in the Massey Ranking Consensus. In each of the past 20 seasons, the Lazindex has been extremely close to the consensus, having never finished outside of the Top 10. The Lazindex has also won multiple Beck Prediction Tracker Awards during the same period.
